With the tides so wimpy on the Delta this week, I decided to try Hogan
one last time - this time drifting minnows. It would have been a pretty successful trip if I had been targeting small mouth black bass, but I wanted stripers. I caught three smallies, but nary a striper to be found. A very small boil began around the boat at one time, but ended at once. I tossed a Kastmaster into it a few times to no avail. I did see some strange birds on the lake again, probably migratory on their way south. I'll post photos on my site and maybe someone can tell me what they are. The weather was fine - the cloudy day and the autumn cooling was pretty nice. But I'll be ready for summer again in about a month. Dale www.fishwisher.com |

Dalewww.fishwisher.com You may have not gotten any stripers but it still sounds like a great time, and certainly better than doing a lot of things. Weather is just starting to change in these parts, and I like the change. But like you, I'll be ready for summer in a short while! |
