Why should they bother with the negativity? You provide enough of it here for half a dozen elections. You're talking to a guy who, every morning, has to deal with the foul smelling matter in the pustules in his face. Wouldn't you be negative? -- John H. |

Now I know the cause of morning sickness. Give it up, Herring. You're no more competent at this than you were as a military ossifer. The only reason you made light colonel was because you stayed in long enough. |

The country urgently Oh, right...your candidate is Sarah Palin...the least competent candidate for veep in your lifetime. She's really your kind of gal, too. I'd like to see her switch places with McCain on the ticket. Palin has more executive experience than Obama, Biden and McCain combined. Yeah? George W. Bush had "exec experience." He turned out to be a disaster. What is important is knowledge, intelligence, and judgment. McPalin has none of that. Why do you have to denigrate everyone by making fun of their names? Seems petty and childish. Is that what they taught you at Yale? When you can't win the argument start calling names?- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - That's him in a nutshell. Especially if you call him out on his many, many lies. |

I have an old and close friend in his early 50's now in Afghanistan who is finishing up his career in the Army. When I first met him in 1988, he was a a lieutenant hoping for promotion to captain in a year or two. He's finishing up as a full colonel. He was in desert storm, and in Dubya's war against Iraq, and now he's in Afghanistan. I guess he's done well, and if so, he earned it. Herring seems about as dumb a military officer as I have ever seen. |

We lost a great young man who grew up in our development just recently. He had just been promoted to Captain and was killed by a suicide bomber terrorist in Iraq. http://www.cleveland.com/news/plaind...780.xml&coll=2 He entered ROTC after 911 and was an All-Ohio First Team High School Football Athlete. Services were held on Friday. RIP Capt. Medders. You were a fine young man and will be missed. |

He'll get over it. Besides that, he's a little bit jealous. -- John H. |
