Is dropping like lead over here. To those of us who like old boats...
I just missed a 1965 35' Steel Hull Roamer on our local want ads for $2500.00 ready to go...... Good grief. |

Well, If you figure scrap that scrap has gon down, from about $220.00 per ton for un prepared steel, (car bodies) to about $180.00 per ton now, .... eh. I don't really know. But still even for scrap that would be a chunk if it weighed 20 tons |

One exception, it had about a 6 inch gouge int he side of it. He bought it trailer and all for $150.00 Then took it to the local metal dobber and had the cut repaired, ($60.00) and it looks practically new from the outside. took it home and mounted a 30 hp evinrude he had in his garage. He used it all of last year, then he pulled the engine off and resold the boat and trailer for $1000.00 a couple weeks ago. trash to treasure. |

Actually, this is starting to be the bad time for selling boats. Spring time is the right time. You might take some good pics of it and put it up on craigslist or ebay. Stuff usually moves pretty good there. Good luck, man. |
