Why do you have to be "told" so many things. Learn to think for

This from Dan Krueger, a piece of crap so insecure he had to buy TWO

Trying to impress himself no doubt.

useless.. plonk
Now dumb Don has jumped in!

I don't buy cars to impress myself, or others, for the same reason most
people don't drive 1980's cars. I prefer quality, performance, comfort,
and a car that is always under warranty. I don't pay for oil changes,
brakes, or even wiper blades light bulbs.

BTW - both cars were made in the US!

And the profits were shipped overseas to help "someone elses" economy.

Those "profits" were diluted after paying salespeople, administrators,
factory workers, truck driver, etc.

Doesn't nearly cover it. The generated wealth goes elsewhere.

What do *you* drive?

Depends on the weather and my mood.

When you feel like being honest, I'll let you know where your car was
built and where the parts came from.

I already know the answer, at least for most of them. Honest!

It's really hard to tell now-a-days with all the mergers, engineering
agreements and partnerships, but the result is that many of the newer
offerings by "US" manufacturers are actually very much improved and refined
cars. Even some of the Chrysler models benefited from the brief association
with Mercedes.

I agree with your previous statements about BMW. The competition is
getting better, but for a while the difference in performance, handling, and
quality of a BMW overshadowed most of the other offerings in the same
approximate price range. I had several and enjoyed every one of them.

Some find it hard to understand, maybe because they don't share the same
level of interest, but I buy cars because I like them and not because they
conform to what somebody else says I should drive or how much I should
spend.

It's also the reason I am not a Democrat. :-)

"Most of them"? WAFA will call you a snob (or something equally stupid)
for owning several cars.

So you do know none were made 100% in the US, right?

That would be an incorrect assumption. You don't know nearly as much
as you think. I'm pretty sure that I have several cars that are 100%
U.S. made. I own more than one car for very practical reasons. Nothing
snobby about it.
