"so all he needs is some proper clothing and he's good to go!" SAY WHAT! Maybe some lessons on how to handle the bike would be nice. JustWait has a training program going. He for being well into his 60's I'd say he'd doing pretty good. and I really don't know, but i would imagine that if he wanted he could "drop and give 30" fairly easily. Probably not. I hate pushups. My arms are long, which makes them harder to do. I could never do one pullup, which kept me out of Airborne school. Most arm spans are within an inch of a person's height. My arm span is five inches longer than my height. Makes buying long sleeved shirts a bitch. -- John H Pfffff..I could do over 70 real strict pushups. Once in community college, a group of classmates bet me I couldn't do one handed pushups... I was on number 15 when one of the guys jumped on my back. I collected of course. I also liked doing headstand pushups, although I usually needed a wall or something to keep my balance.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Come on, that's almost believable. If you want to be like your lover/ clone Harry, you need to come up with more far fetched lies than that! I feel no need to exagerate or try to impress here, it's unlikely I'll run into any of you. Hell, I find it fun that you are such a narcissist and not comfortable with what you have that you feel the need to lie about every aspect of your life. Does your wife know that you are ashamed of her profession so you created a lie about her? What would your father think if he knew of all the lies you've created about him to boost your sad ego? |

But at full throttle at possibly 40 mph I figured the engine would over heat, so Then I thought that I'd need to build some type of cooling shroud around the cylinders . Well, Not having the time for such I abandoned the idea. however I have seen guzzi engines used on small experimental air planes. Come to think of it, I believe that Guzzi made a V-twin specifically for actual use small air craft, but don't hold me to it. |

Nice bike, I just got back into riding last spring, with the gas prices going thru the roof I had to. Mines a '93 BMW airhead R/100/GS Dualsport, Its good for taking up logging roads, and on the highway, but not true offroading. I've put 5000 miles on it since I bought it last April. In a way those big beemer off-roaders remind me of this: http://www.motorcycle.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8060 I rememebr when Larry Burquist pulled this off, but the sportster was plagued with problems. I ahd heard that tee team was so disgusted with the bike that they took a backhoe and dug a pit in the desert and buried it. Then some time later somebody found the burial site, dug it up and restored it. Besides engine trouble it was a suspension nightmare not counting all that weight thrashing around in the desert. But where it actually shined was doing well over 100.mph in the straight passages. Still it couldn't take it. They should have used a BMW. ?;^) |

The biggest factor in going with the Beemer was the driveshaft, I just had enough of fixing broken master links, and adjusting chains. UD |

I'd probably end up going with a Honda ST1300 though, just 'cause there are so many Honda dealers around.
