I have a really nice pair of penny loafers I paid about $175 for a
couple years ago. I wore the thin, "stylish" leather soles right out, so
I took them up to a local mall and "got an estimate" for new non-leather
soles and heels. $50. The shoes were otherwise in great shape. Got them
back, looked like new again.

That is ****ing amazing!
