FS: GARMIN GPS in VA
Here are the major functions of the Garmin 45:
A hand-held Garmin Global Positioning System (GPS), model 45. This unit is in EXCELLENT condition, works perfectly, with no dings, scratches or nicks. This unit is simple to use and works flawlessly. Features of the Garmin 45 GPS include: *MultiTrac8 receiver tracks and uses up to 8 satellites simultaneously for fast, accurate positioning * Waterproof, dry nitrogen-filled case for all-weather use * Up to 20 hours of battery life on 4 AA alkaline cells in battery saver mode * 250 alphanumeric waypoints * List of 9 nearest waypoints * 20 reversible routes * MOB mode with bearing and distance to mark * Moving Map Plotting with scales to 1/5th statute mile * Graphic pages for Satellite Status, Position, Plotting and CDI Navigation * Active graphic display of cardinal heading * Efficient 2-speed thumb key control * Weighs just 10 ounces with batteries. * Can accept an external power source and antenna This unit comes with the original "Owner's Manual and Reference" guide, as well as a GPS 45 "Quick Reference Guide." What else could one want from a GPS, particularly for the cost of $75? Of course, there are units that are "better" than this, and newer than this, and cost more than this. But for $75, the buyer of this unit got a quality GPS unit at a bargain price. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rec.boats.marketplace is a moderated newsgroup. My guess is that Jax doesn't have a ship battery, or a boat for that matter.
His realm is the scullery... Most readers know that Jaxass has proven over time that he knows nothing about boats, cars, women, GPS, or anything else for that matter. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" Trains are a winter sport ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rec.boats.marketplace is a moderated newsgroup. As a current user of Garmin 45, I couldn't agree more. I wish I could have bought mine for $75 as that is really a great price! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rec.boats.marketplace is a moderated newsgroup.
