These units are placed on the deck with the intake and cold air exhaust
vents going down into a hatch, and a nylon hood covering the open hatch.
They weigh about 60lbs and run off of standard 115VAC.

The unit I have for sale is older, and claims less than the 7,000 BTU
currently listed (though I had heard that was due to different rating
methods, and not any changes between models). Also, my unit does not
have the fabric hood, but I have a nice vinyl upholstered wooden box
that goes over the largest hatch size the unit supports, providing
better weather, sound, and sunlight isolation. My unit also comes with
the optional air deflector (a $37.00 value)

This unit was used last year to cool my 28 foot cruiser
without problems. It is being sold because I have since installed a
permanent unit.

I am asking $395.00, and if you've priced these units out, you know that
I'm not going venture too far south of that number. But don't just
take my word for it, here are recently completed listing on ebay (and
those prices will only climb, when the weather is warmer).
