It is my sad duty to inform you all that Great Lakes Cruiser will
soon be closing up shop, for good. With ad revenues at all time lows
and insufficient CD sales to keep ourselves afloat, I have been forced
to make the decision to cease publication.
There will be no August issue, but we are not quite done yet.
The staff decided as a group that we wanted to do it all, just one
more time. So please stay tuned to our web page for our Farewell
Issue which should be published on or about September 1st. It will be
a "one last time" for this and for that, farewell messages from those
who have graced our pages over the past decade, and a look back at the
places we have gone and the friends we have made. It will be an issue
to read!
We will keep the web page up until the first of the year to allow
anyone who wants, that last chance to get a Back Issue CD, complete
with the Farewell Issue. All orders will be filled. We still have a
good amount of legal bills to pay off and every dollar will help.
I wish we could have kept things going for you for this was a
true labor of love. And for me, what's really next? Well, in all
honesty, Jenvey's looking for a job...

That's a shame. If you took your content and instead of presenting PDF
files, you presented web pages and signed up with Google adwords and some
other online ad services to display their ads, you would quickly see
significant revenue. You have the content so 99% of the work is done.
