Paddling in Milwaukee Area
 

Could you guys provide some pointers for places to paddle in on very
near the Milwaukee/Waukesha area? (17' CD Storm) Needs to be close
for after work type paddling. Also, I am looking for lake type
locations (and yes, I know Lake MI is there, but it's a little scary
for an inexperienced paddler).

There are a ton of lakes in the county parks (some are even of an ok
size), but I have heard rumor that private owned craft are not allowed
in them.
